ADA Access Ramps

Superior ADA Compliance

Providing safe access to a home or business without extensive modifications is essential for businesses that wish to comply with current disability access standards. ADA Access Ramps provide accessible options that meet modern disability access standards.

Access Ramps were designed to comply with international and US accessibility standards. Handrails, widths, and slopes are all standard features. As opposed to other modular ramp solutions, the ramp has a more established appearance and can be customized to match your facility’s color scheme.

Ramps Built to Meet Local Standards

You must provide the proper slope:
Access is generally easier the steeper the slope. The maximum slope depends on where the ramp is located. ADA requires a slope of 1:12 (5 degrees) for public access.

You must provide the proper clearance for navigation:
In the US, 36 inches is a general rule of thumb for the width of a ramp and the amount of space on a landing, clear of door swing paths.

You must provide a flat landing for extended distances and changes in direction:
Whenever a ramp changes direction, a flat landing must be in place. Additionally, if the slope is 1:15, landings must be every 15 feet.

You must provide grab rails and guardrails on the ramp:
Guardrails, where needed, should be a minimum of 42 inches high. Grabrails must be smooth and continuous.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are my options?

Whether the property is a classic or contemporary structure, the railing can be color-matched to the property. Floor panels with color contrasts, a middle rail option for children, and stair modules provide extra safety and convenience.

How safe are the users on the system?

Our Access Platforms designed and built by professional engineers backed by a global support network. We have tested our products rigorously to standards around the world in our internationally recognized test center.

What kind of regular maintenance is required?

Compared with wooden or concrete structures, and other metal ramps, it costs a lot less. The ramps are made of galvanized steel, which prevents rust and kills moss. Grit and drainage holes prevent water and ice from building up on the anti-slip ramp surface.

What is the average turnaround time for a ramp?

Our ramps are constructed using Kee KlampĀ® components, so stock availability is rarely an issue. Within days of receiving the purchase order, delivery can be arranged. The installation of a simple ramp can be completed within a day. Depending on the complexity of the structure, it may take up to a week to install it for commercial use.
